1. What MeusMenu is

MeusMenu is a recipe collection platform operated by Binary Artisan LLC, created by James L. Craig. Built with the care and heart of a family kitchen, it helps people organise recipes, plan meals, and cook with confidence — whether for a weeknight dinner or a holiday gathering.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account or use someone else's account without permission. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it current.

Accounts are personal — one per person. Creating duplicate or fake accounts is not allowed.

3. Content you submit

You may submit recipes, photos, and other content. By doing so, you confirm that:

• You own the content or have the right to share it.
• It does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• It is not harmful, offensive, defamatory, or illegal in any way.
• Photos depict food or cooking — not people without their consent, and nothing explicit.

By submitting content, you grant MeusMenu a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on this site and in connection with the operation of MeusMenu. You retain ownership of your content, but this license survives account deletion to ensure the integrity of published recipes and shared collections.

Photo submissions are reviewed before being attached to a recipe. We reserve the right to reject or remove any content that violates these terms or is otherwise inappropriate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its underlying systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from this site in bulk without prior written permission.
• Use the site to distribute spam, malware, or other harmful material.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
• Use automated scripts to interact with the site in ways that degrade its performance for others.

5. Privacy & email communications

Your personal data (name, email address, saved recipes) is stored securely and used solely to operateMeusMenu. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Passwords are hashed and are never stored or readable in plaintext. We cannot recover your password — only reset it.

Transactional emails

By creating an account, you consent to receive the following transactional emails, which are required for core account functionality:

• Email verification codes — sent when you register or request a new verification code. Required to unlock recipe and photo submission features.
• Password reset codes — sent when you initiate a password reset. Required to regain access to your account.

These emails are sent only in response to actions you initiate. You will never receive a transactional email you did not request.

Marketing & newsletters

MeusMenu does not currently send newsletters, promotional emails, or any other marketing communications. If this changes in the future, it will be opt-in only, and this section will be updated accordingly with advance notice.

6. No warranties

MeusMenu is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees that the site will be available at all times, free of errors, or that recipes are nutritionally accurate, safe for your specific dietary needs, or allergen-free. Always verify ingredients and nutritional information independently, especially if you have food allergies or medical dietary requirements.

Nothing on this site constitutes medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Binary Artisan LLC, James L. Craig, and MeusMenu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — this site or its content. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, adverse health outcomes from following a recipe, or any harm arising from reliance on content submitted by other users.

8. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

When an account is deleted, your personal information is removed. Content you submitted that was attached to published recipes may be retained to preserve the integrity of those recipes.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of MeusMenu after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
